2020: Introduction of the Solaris Yachts 60 – Groundbreaking design and technology
With the Solaris Yachts 60, Solaris Yachts sets a new standard in terms of construction, conception, and nautical design. Inspired by the idea of creating a mini-maxi high-performance sailing yacht, this model, with an overall length of 18,31 m, offers everything required for offshore racing, including the Mini-Maxi class in Porto Cervo.
innovation and design
- waterlines: The latest waterlines ensure maximum efficiency and performance.
- helm positioning: The cockpit is equipped with outboard-positioned helm stations, allowing unobstructed visibility and full control of the headsails.
- Externally positioned steering wheels: This solution provides an excellent overview of the entire yacht, both when mooring and during navigation.
- steering positions in heavy waves: The positioning of the steering wheels allows the helmsman to stay dry even in heavy waves, as the water can drain away through the steps.
interior
- kitchen and cabins: A central galley, easily accessible via two steps, and spacious, light-filled aft cabins. The owner's cabin in the bow offers plenty of space and offers the choice between a central bed or a bed against the side of the boat.
- crew cabin: Can be used either as a large storage space or as a separate cabin with its own bathroom.
- dinghy garage: A longitudinal garage that does not affect the space in the aft cabins.
Rig innovation: Solaris 40 – ST Square Top
- square mainsail: Maximum efficiency due to more wind in the upper part of the sail.
- E-Mass and shorter tree: The mainsail is equipped with a shorter boom and E-mass, which makes it easier to handle.
- Improved hydrodynamics and aerodynamics: The rig optimizes the performance and handling of the yacht.
- Spacious cockpit: Free from obstacles, with the possibility of installing an awning.
The Solaris 40 – ST-Rigg is a groundbreaking innovation that introduces a new dimension of performance and technology to the Solaris 40.
